What Color Should I Wear?

Pick colors that you like and that you will feel comfortable in. If you have blue eyes, the color blue will make your eyes pop and stand out. Blue is a great color for a headshot. The color blue can have a calming and stable effect. If you have green eyes - green might just do the trick. Soft pastel colors are nice against the skin tone. If you don't usually walk into a store and pick out the colors purple, orange or yellow, then don't go out and buy them for the photo shoot. Wear a color you will feel confident in. If you have brown eyes you might choose any shade of blue, royal blue, red, purple, burgundy, emerald green, black, or white. 


Blonde / Blond

If you are a blonde, like Legally Blonde or a blond man like Owen Wilson, you might choose a sky blue, yellow, golds, lavender, khaki, pinks, hot pink, turquoise, peach, tans. Stay away from black, as it might appear to hash against your skin tone.  


Brown Hair

If you have are a brunette, you can wear greens, including olive and sage. You can also wear browns and creamy colors, reds and black. Avoid wear lemon or banana yellow colors.


Redhead 

True Redheads can wear peach, apricot, lavender, mint green, pink - blush pink to true pinks, emerald green, true purple and black. If you have auburn hair, try wearing red, royal blue, pink, purple, cranberry, dark blues, gold, navy or black.


Silver Hair

Try cobalt blue, warm orange, bright pink, emerald green, ruby red or bright white. Avoid beige, but try a periwinkle blue. 


Black Hair

Wear Cobalt blue, orange, purple, plum, or a bright white. Try wearing at true deep red.
