Dallas Musician/ Singer Portrait Photography:
Vocalist/Singers - Vocal Performance & Local Artist. Broadway & Opera Singers, Barbershop, Doo wop, Modern Pop/Rock & Jazz/Blues Singers. We offer a variety of backdrops and numerous ideas for album covers for musicians and vocal performance artists. Album cover sessions range from one to four hour studio or location sessions. As a Dallas singers portrait photographer, we focus on music promotion, artistic album covers, and artistic portraits. Our CD cover portrait session uses the top of the line cameras and professional photography equipment. Your music portrait will be unique. We shoot the cd cover portrait as well as the inside pages and the back.
We encourage our Musicians and Singers to bring a prop to their Artist Portrait Session.
Here are some ideas for album covers:
1. Bring props – favorite shoes, shirts, jackets, musical instruments, a chair, a favorite something – anything that you might think is unique in describing you and your work. These little last minute artistic ideas are what sometimes just complete a soloist portrait.
2. Bring more than one pair of shoes! For singers you might just need that extra touch. If you are a male artist – come with both a casual and dressy pair of shoes. For a female artist, please throw in a few – maybe it’s that sandal – or perhaps you own a fetching closed toe shoe.
3. Guys bring a jacket – you might really want to go with the casual look – but throwing on a jacket over your t-shirt might just work. Also bring a few shirts to choose from. If you have a trademark signature, a signature look, please contact the photographer and discuss the details as she may have a few pointers or suggestions.
4. Girls – bring or wear jeans. Bring a skirt, several blouses or shirts to choose from. Think of colors and remember that solids will work better. For your album we want your face or you to stand out – we don’t want a distracting pattern to stick out. That being said, some very artistic portraits work well with loud shirts or blouses - even shirts with interesting designs or intricate details. You are also welcome to bring a hat, a scarf, and if you wear earrings, please bring a few choices.
5. You are welcome to bring your own make-up artist along with you for your artist portrait session. If you need a make-up artist we can provide one for your shoot. We ask that our musicians come at least 30 minutes early for make-up. There is also an additional fee for a make-up sitting.
6. Bring a friend along to sit and watch during your portrait session.
7. The Photographer works with photography assistants and will have an assistant there for the musician portrait session when needed.
8. We offer a wide range of professional studio backdrops. We have many colors available. We also take backdrop requests – and for an additional fee we will purchase a specific backdrop color for you.
9. We will bring our studio to you or to your location and set up there. Please allow 30 minutes for set-up prior to shoot. We can also create an environmental artistic portrait – and bring our professional photography equipment and soft boxes to your favorite place – or that place you would really like to have on your CD Cover.
10. You are in for a good time!
You will receive a CD of Professional Images. All artist Images are Professionally Retouched. Artist Images are Professionally Stylized with tones, different tints, artist name, CD Cover names, and artist/ songwriter info can be added to images for an additional photoshopping cost.
